As I sit here staring at some sort of liquid falling from the sky, I have vague memories of this happening before.
Rain? That’s what it’s called right? I’ve heard of it before. As a lifelong Southern Californian, it’s easy to be confused when it’s not warm and sunny out, even when we aren’t in epic drought conditions.
So according to every blog post, news article and science paper from the last 8 months and beyond, this winter storm is likely just the precursor of what is to come. It’s been impossible to ignore. Now, as I try and fish my weatherizing to-do list out from whatever stack of papers it has ended up under, I keep asking myself, “why didn’t I take care of this over summer?” Anyway, better late than never I suppose.
For you other procrastinators, here is a helpful little check list to get you started. I’m going to get started on that today… right after that next cup of coffee.
