High Speed Rail Meeting in Lake View Terrace. We were at capacity. Lets keep our involvement high!

Those of you who live in the San Fernando Valley are likely already aware that the High Speed Rail has potential plans to go through the Lake View Terrace, Kagel Canyon, Hansen Dam, Shadow Hills and Sun Valley Equestrian areas.

One very important way we can help our community is to make sure the city is aware of the impact such a plan will have on the horses here. Being counted is very important. This means having your horse/pony/mini/donkey/mule registered with Los Angeles Animal Services. The best way to have voice is to prove we are here and show how tied we are to the regions economy. Registering your animals shows the LA Equine Authority Committee the approximate number of horses that reside here. It’s a must do. They can’t say we’re not here if we can prove it on paper. The license is inexpensive and with what is at stake its worth every penny.

So please join me! The city will want to know where your equine is boarded so keep that in mind while filling out the form. I live in Burbank but my pony live in Shadow Hills, That is where he will need to be counted.

If you have any questions you can call the city directly here:

I spoke with someone at the office today, they picked up promptly and were very helpful.

Please find the link to the registration page here.
I’m happy to answer any questions that I can. Feel free to reach me here.
